2016 is rapidly approaching. With it, the inevitable New Year’s resolutions, or as I like to call them “January’s Lies.”

New Year’s Resolutions are as worthless as cat shit under a couch. Think about it. Do you even REMEMBER 2015’s resolutions? Did you write them down, follow them? Create lasting and memorable change? I didn’t think so.

Most people hold onto these fantasies like some kind of sick affirmation of desperate hope. Just like Princess Leah begging for mercy on Alderaan, most resolutions will get blasted to bits, not by the Death Star, but by the Four Horseman of Shitty Lives:

Bad Eating Habits

Ineffective Exercise Plan

Improperly Creating a Goal Achievement Plan

Inability to Create Sacrifice for Long Term Reward

As long as people still adhere to these four tenets, I will continue to have an amazing career as a life coach. It’s not that people are deliberately being ineffective, its that they are trying to do something that they have VERY little practice at. I have been a life coach for over a decade. I have developed the most cutting edge methods of powerful life change known to modern America.

Superhuman Learning...A Guide to Access It


Happy Friday Blue Dragon Readers! I hope you have been productive and working hard. Today's blog is going to be on Superhuman Learning....yes it exists, and yes it can be accessed.

I can already hear some of you, "Does this involve crystals, man?"

"Hey maaaaan, tonight we will dance with the
pagans in Old Man Bernstein's pasture"
I am happy to say, no Moonbeam, it involves several techniques that are proven and easy to implement. Let's talk about fast learning and why it's important. Fast learners outwork their peers, can accomplish things in a much faster time and can power through goals quickly to have high rates of productivity. How do I know all this?

I come from a low income background. Everyone in my family is on drugs or in jail. My 9th grade report card was Ds and Fs. At 17, I was about to join a gang. I had zero hope and was headed to jail or a minimum wage life.

Today I have been on TV, radio, and podcasts. I have published  7 books, and used certain techniques to DESTROY my previous productivity roadblocks. I am living proof that these techniques are effective, easy to use, and affordable.


Examples
These techniques can be used for many things, here are a few suggestions:

*learning a language fast

*improving athletic performance

*expanding your business

*learning an unfamiliar technique (for me, I recently learned to reprogram DOS to play my favorite old school video game Ultima plus I learned about how to use sales funnels)

So lets talk about what our goals are for superhuman learning and work backwards. A person that is proficient in these techniques will have three things:

1. Elevated comprehension - they can explain their chosen subject using unique terminology. They can make a diagram from memory explaining the process and they can instruct a group about the technique

2. They will possess a demonstrate-able method of application. All this means is that they will be able to play an instrument, recite poetry, do an equation or show off a new dance. They just need a medium of delivery

3. They have an experience either reciting, performing or otherwise LIVING the skill they learned. Life experience is a great way to build confidence at something.

The Neutropic Factor

Four Ways That Fitness Professionals Can Make Side Income...


I am lucky enough to live in San Diego. We have a huge fitness community and a wide variety of activities available. As Operations Manager of Fitness Inked Magazine, one thing I do is to help fitness professionals expand their empire and earning potential. 

You may be making income from training people, but why aren't you making passive income from doing nearly nothing?



You worked hard to build up your brand. You created your programs and slowly started to accumulate clients. So why not quadruple your income using your business venture as a launching platform? Here are four ways to do this:

It amazes me that everyone isn't doing this. I had my affiliates set up in one day. Basically you partner up with a larger company and promote their products on your site. Let that sink in. After you post it on your website, you do NOTHING but promote it, and money rolls in. You don't even have to send the damn thing. The hosting site sends out your PDF automatically. Here is how I do this:

3. Virtual Consulting

You can have clients all over the country and all over the world. Using Skype, webcams, calls and emails, it is possible to offer fitness and diet consulting to them. Why are you only working in your town? Get listed on fitness directories, purchase some banner ads or advertise on Craigslist, but get your name out there and start collecting fees. 

4. Create a Product Line

Your company has gotten popular, you have clients like crazy, why aren't you selling your own line of fitness products? Using Vistaprint, you can have anything branded. Use wholesale sites to find products that fit your company or venture such as https://www.elivatefitness.com.

Why No One Wants to Date You.....

This one will definitely win over some hearts. The truth is a bitter pill to swallow for some.  Its completely honest and will shed some light on certain lifestyle elements that are keeping good people single and undateable.

Full disclosure: I have been single for 7 years. I have no embarrassment about it. I don't date women that have no goals or ambition. My standards for my life are high and I only keep company with people that can add value. That being said, I'll tell you EXACTLY what online dating really is about.


Men and women essentially want the same things in a partner:

Companionship

Mutual Attraction

Support

But we select our potential mates completely differently. For the majority of this article, I'll be focused on online dating sites and maximizing your attractiveness. The advice however, absolutely works in real life applications as well.

I get hit on via dating sites almost daily. I ignore 95% of girls that write to me. I'm not some superficial jerk, I just realize that dating someone I have low interest in is a waste of time for both of us. The women that I ignore have the following traits:

1. Haven't maximized their body type (either need to lose weight or gain toned muscle).

2. Have shitty pictures (blurry, only headshots indicating body embarrassment, far away pics that dont show what she looks like).

3. Have awfully written profiles that demonstrate low intelligence or absence of any high tier cognitive ability. (for Christ's sakes, I have 6 degrees and you are writing "luv tatts on hawt guyz, luv to B spoiledddddd")

Guys, you aren't off the hook either. My BFF Heather, has been online dating for awhile (she's a high level exec and doesn't have time for most of your shenanigans either) and has shared some wonderful insight:

*Don't show up with a giant bald spot or completely bald after your pics have you looking like you have a glorious Fabio mane of hair, Einstein

*SHUT UP ABOUT YOURSELF, don't dominate the conversation and make it about how great you are (yeah, I really wrote that, I can't believe it either)

*Don't be uber creepy and touch her, talk about sex stuff, or be insecure and whiny. Girls smell fear and weakness. You're a man. Act like one.

So now that I have pointed out some serious flaws that many of you aren't addressing, I will teach you how to maximize your DSV (dating social value).

Men:

*Women look at profiles and subconsciously ask, "Will he be supportive and gain the approval of my friends and family?"

Be that guy. If you don't have a career you are proud of, go back to school. Seek a better job. Its not about money, its about stability. After 30, you shouldn't have roommates, you should have a portfolio and an empire. You should be a guy that women fight over.

Start a fitness program, eat better, use the articles in this blog to lose fat, find free school, be smarter and COMPLETELY revamp who you are. When you meet that special lady, YOU MUST CONTINUE TO ACT LIKE YOU ARE DATING. Don't get complacent just because you finally got her to commit to you. Trust me, she has plenty of choices and most of them involve some bouncer that has a speedbike and an AK-47 tattoo.

Women:

*Men look at your pictures first because we are genetically programmed to seek mates that are healthy and have strong child bearing features (sorry if you think that's sexist but its true). We are most drawn to 2 body types:

Thin, lean, Crossfit athletic types............................and curvy, pretty girls with big hips and big boobs

Girls that have muffin tops, wear clothes that are too tight and that have double chins are NOT CURVY. I know there are many misconceptions about body awareness because of fat acceptance, Tess Munster and all that, but guess what? The 2 types theory is how you can maximize your potential if you are serious about attracting your dream guy.

*For your profile, come across as fun, interesting, and a girl that will make a man's life better. For the love of God, men are sick of reading:

"If you cant handle me at my worst, you don't deserve me at my best" (great, now I know that you're crazy and wont fess up to it)

"You need to love my curves, I'm not changing" (No, Ill just date someone with a gym membership)

"Not looking for a booty call" (Oh yeah, me either)

"I love dressing up and going out, and am just as comfortable laying on the couch watching Netflix" (Wow, you are so down to earth. Guess what? SO IS EVERY GIRL ON HERE)

Here are how you can drastically raise DSV without much effort:

1. Take better pictures showing you doing cool stuff. Experiment with black and white photography and have at least one pic of you really dressed up.

2. Buy some new clothes that are fitted to your body type, and are bright exciting colors

3. Girls work out your legs, butt and arms, guys, work out your shoulders and maximize your jawline through a lot of cardio

4. Work on your writing. Be funny, quick witted and edgy. It shows people that you aren't boring.

5. The two things all people respect are confidence and sense of humor. Develop both.

PhD and 7 Time Author Teaches How to Become Smarter TODAY

I have spent the last 5 years exclusively studying high tier geniuses and top level performers. Navy SEALs, CEOs, millionaires, and entertainers. I have compiled habits and practices that WILL help you process info at a higher level and cut down on roadblocks.

Remember, intelligence is NOT necessarily degrees, it can be:

Now that we have a better idea of what "smart” is, let’s get started. six of the fastest techniques to create the “perfect storm” of intelligence building are the following:

1.     Learn to Categorize and Rank Information
One of the most valuable time savers is learning to quickly judge how valuable information is. Whether it’s a website, an article or a resource, you should be able to scan it in 20 seconds and ask three things:

  1. Does this have SERIOUS value to my business/life?
  2. Can I use this information to help someone/monetize/advance?
  3. Is this something that will IMMEDIATELY impact my life in a good way?

If you cannot answer yes to all three, TOSS IT and move on. If you can, bookmark it for later.

2.     Leverage Valuable People by Social Engineering
We cannot succeed at our endeavors alone. The faster you realize how important social engineering is, the faster you will advance in your goals. As a child, I had to do my own laundry since about 13. I left home at 18, and had to figure everything out on my own. Asking for help was NOT one of my strong points and I paid by taking much longer at projects and advancing as an adult.

Learn right away to spot value adders and offer a 3:1 ROI if you need something from them (you give 3 times more than you ask for)

*Influencers - people that have HIGH social value or lots of friends

*Mentors - people that are where you want to be in 5 years

*High Analyticals - These are people that can listen to your issue, filter out all unnecessary details and give a solution devoid of fluff, emotion, or wasted time.

3.     Healthy Use of Legal Neutropics
Neutropics are safe, natural drugs that are the next generation of cognitive enhancement. They are not prescription level or addictive like pain drugs. They literally use natural ingredients to help your brain process information faster and reduce “brain fog.”

4.     Implement Music as an Auditory Enhancer
You can create an "advanced mental laboratory" simply from listening to music in the background when working on projects. I used classical music as a backdrop for high end research. You can use Youtube or Pandora (my personal favorite is Mahler’s 2nd, plus it’s over an hour long)

Finding your musical “sweet spot” will help you create a mental laboratory in which you will process info faster, do higher level searches of information and write with better vocabulary/higher tier concepts.

5.     Use the 80/20 Principle to Maximize Your Doctoral Process
The 80/20 principle is crucial for cutting time wasters and keeping only the most valuable resources in your life. For our intent today, it means this: 20% of people and resources will create 80% of your total value. You have a huge amount of resources in your day to day life. Assigning value to your top ones will save you time. Here are my best resources to fast track your progress at anything using the 80/20:

1. Purge the whiners and complainers. You know who they are. They criticize everything you do, blame everyone else for their issues and should have a giant "V" stamped on their forehead because there's a crisis every week that they desperately need sympathy for.

2. On the other hand, when you find a person that is a human gold nugget, get involved in their life, support their endeavors and offer help if they need it. They will reward you with referrals, invites, top notch advice, and more. Investment in human capital yields huge results.

6.     Limitless Advantage
The most important thing I have personally done to advance my own cognitive abilities is to buy the book Limitless.

Conquering Depression



I have been depressed for most of my life. I have never admitted it to myself until today. I have never talked to anyone about it and feel its time to come clean.

            As I started life coaching, I read a lot of emails and read between the lines. Many of the guys writing me were fighting depression and felt overwhelmed. I thought that this paper could help them.

            I have always been a mildly sad person. As a kid, I grew up in a really dysfunctional family and 9th grade in high school was the worst. I was overweight, poor, being bullied in school pretty badly by a group of dicks and worst of all, lived with my grandmother who was a hoarder. Picture entire bedrooms filled floor to ceiling with clothes and garbage. Every one of my family members were openly abusing drugs. One uncle stole things from my room to buy meth when I was at school, and everyone in my family was overweight and good at excuses. That was 1990 and it nearly broke me.

            Depression is usually caused by four systematic things:

Event- Something traumatic or sad occurs and directly contributes to the sufferer's mood and pain

Situation- An ongoing life situation causes depression to creep in and linger

Chemical- The brain creates depression at regular intervals

Seasonal- A time of the year causes depression due to increased darkness or traumatic association

Isolation- The feeling that we are alone from family, loved ones and friends


Symptoms
     loss of interest in life or events
     excess sleeping
     sad mood for no reason
     withdrawn from events
     no energy
     short or angry with relatives/spouse

            If you recognize any of these things in your life, don't wait and don't put off treating this. Depression will usually not go away on its own. I think of it as a "treatable parasite of the brain." It is curable but you must make that decision.

I came up with some ideas to mitigate the presence of depression and get you "back in the saddle" for your life.

7 Powerful Treatments for Depression

Outdoor activities- People that stay indoors or in bed are robbing themselves of Vitamin D which we absorb from the sun through our skin. This can cause depression. Make it a point to create things that involve being outside. Go to the beach, go to a park, just go for a walk a few times a week. The point is, GO OUTSIDE!!

Conceptualize Future Dynamic Events- One thing I do when I get stressed or feel like nothing is going on, is to imagine the future events that are going to be amazing. For me, its a new condo I am saving up to move into. By taking 10 minutes and focusing on a great future event and how it will look/feel, you will be invigorated and excited.

Embrace Comedy- Get a friend and go to a comedy show or open mic. This serves a few purposes. It will get you around people, gets you out of the house, and listening to comedy gives you new perspectives on life. Talk to people at the club and soak in the experience and joy of laughter.

Get Active- One thing we can do as human beings is to jumpstart our endorphin system with active actions. Start running in the morning, go join a hot yoga class, ride a mountain bike, or go swimming. By increasing your heart rate and getting sweaty, you will transition into a better mental state. Plus, the additional fitness will draw people to you, both noticeably and subconsciously.

Isolate a Skill Set and Use it to Help Others- This was my key to shattering my depression. I figured out where my skill set was and offered it to others for free. This created a ripple effect of bringing others into my life, got me a lot of praise (and on the news for a book I wrote), and gave me so much purpose that I didn't have time to be sad. Think about something you are good at. Now take that skill and do something with it that benefits others. You could start a Meetup group, write a book, or even create a seminar or a video that teaches others how to do this. We all have skills and talents. Sharing them is a great way to create happiness.

Animals- The great thing about animals are that they love unconditionally. When was the last time you held a puppy, fed a baby goat, or pet a horse? Search out a petting zoo, visit a shelter, or go see a friend with pets. Animals are great companions and will cheer you up quickly.

Make an Aggressive Life Change- My worst bouts of depression were caused by boredom and loneliness. Once I joined a professionals group, I got involved in people's lives, sharing my experiences and large amounts of info from books I have read. I felt a sense of purpose and belonging. Make a promise to yourself and join a new class, start writing a book, create a blog, or join a new fitness program.

You do not "deserve" to be depressed

Every day you let depression control your life is a day of reduced productivity, income, and your meaningful impact on others

Nearly everything in your life is a result of your choices. Choose a treatment and create a  program of happiness and abundance.

To be honest, the best treatment I have found is to surround myself with fun, exciting people that are genuinely into your life and hobbies. Embrace these people and make sure you appreciate them.

Become a Better Entrepreneur TODAY

"OMG, look at the kitties!!"

For those of you that don't know me. I'm Dr. Rob Garcia. I am a life coach, specifically an optimization coach. It means when you are done reading this, you will be performing at a higher level. You will sharpen your entrepreneurial skills, you will think at a higher tier of cognitive function and you will have the confidence to influence others in a positive light.

How am I so sure? Because I live what I teach. By doing years of research I have:

Gone from struggling to finish a 1/2 mile beach run to completing a 16 mile nonstop beach run by training up to it.

"I need a banana and water. REAL BAD"

Failed high school and college twice and despite every adult in my family being on drugs or in prison, went on to earn six degrees including a Doctorate in Education

Self published 7 books (the last being done in 6 hours, start to finish)

Added 70 pounds to my bench press in a month by spending $20 on a piece of exercise equipment (hint: doorway)

Learned how to add value to media entities to get on TV, radio, and in magazines

Created an automated money system that will enable me to make sales 24/7 while I do NOTHING

Reverse engineered 5 diet plans to create my own diet plan to kick my obesity

All of these feats were possible because I adjusted my habits to adopt the most efficient way to do things. How can this help you? Because once you start realizing that certain things are slowing you down, removing or altering them can cause massive changes!

Give


All of you have some type of skill or experience, The Law of Success by Napoleon Hill says that in order to truly have others appreciate you, you must give freely so that your talent will shine.

I volunteered to judge a high school science fair recently. I met a vice principal, a regional program manager and the director for every middle and high school in the county who immediately started talking about a contract for a speaking engagement. I was also successful in negotiating a partnership to help low income high school kids. Talk about a great promotion for my company.

Find Your Tribe


One of the hardest things I have worked on is building my image and making allies. I found a huge entrepreneurial group using meetup.com and in this week alone have had four requests for help publishing books, an offer for teen counseling, and an offer to partner up with a school. YOU HAVE TO FIND LIKE MINDED PEOPLE SO YOU CAN GROW.

Find Your Market


Can you name off your target market right now? The top three people most likely to use your services?

For me as a life coach it is vets, teens, obese adults. That was easy. Now that I have identified them, how do i find them? I can do specialized searches on Facebook, I can search large groups (military.com, edutopia.com, circleofmoms.com) or I can drop the nuke:

ALMOST EVERY STARBUCKS HAS A COMMUNITY BOARD
(read that one twice)

So you go to 99designs.com, and hire a designer to make you an amazing promo card listing your service. It should have a professional photo of you, your services, and a contact email or business number. Now imagine doing this at every Starbucks in your area. That's free marketing 16 hours a day.

Next, use the app Whisper. Get it on your phone. I have seriously found 3 paying clients for coaching with little effort. Just make a post advertising what you do or are selling, a quick website link. (BIG HINT: Whisper uses keyword searches. If your market is vets, use words like "vets" "military" or "defense", you'll be matched to your audience).

Find a Mentor


This is essential. You need someone that can answer questions, guide you, and give suggestions. They should be two steps up the food chain than you (roughly 5-10 years ahead of you in terms of business growth). A mentor has "been there, done that" and will be an important step in your growth.

Conversely, you should BE a mentor as well. Volunteer in your local church, high school, middle school or Boys and Girls club. There are many ways to give back and spread your influence.

  

Advance to Your Next Level


I saved the best for last. In my book, The Next Level, I created a 5 tier ranking system to self identify one's proficiency at any job or skill. Then I listed 10 methods that top performers use to advance to their next level. For the last chapter, I interviewed four AMAZING top performers and isolated which Next Level methods worked for them.

By using this ranking system, you can absolutely apply this to your business, venture or company and see where you are. Then review the ten methods and plot out a new path to advance. I can absolutely help with this if you need a quick assist.
