4 Lessons ALL ENTREPRENEURS Can Learn From King Aminpour

Its important to recognize the business leaders that are doing things right. We can deconstruct their processes and turn them into valuable tactics for our own businesses.

King Aminpour is a San Diego based attorney that is EVERYWHERE. I have known of him for a long time but a chance business meeting with Brett Davis and Sarah Morga at IQ Media was where we brought him up in conversation.

For all the negative stuff we hear about lawyers, King stands as a man of integrity and community involvement. He sponsors events, mentors young people and sets a VERY high standard of excellence. He was recently featured on the cover of the premiere issue of IQ Podcasts.

IQ Media CEO Brett Davis and

                                                                                         Dr. Marty Fallor

So what are the lessons we can learn?

1. Omnipresence - I recently went for a jog to Balboa Park. I saw Kings ads on billboards, the side of a bus, the bus bench, and even on a mobile billboard. Being consistently seen plants a subconscious idea of powerful positioning. The more places that people can see your message, the better.

2. Audience Segmentation - Most of his ads start with "Auto Accident?"
This IMMEDIATELY identifies who his target client is and also positions him in his field. He is not handling estate law, corporate deals, or divorce. His message IMMEDIATELY resonates with those that have been in a car accident and need a skilled attorney. Your messaging should be CRYSTAL CLEAR about who you are looking for.

3. Messaging - King proudly shares his story about becoming a lawyer at 19 and at the time being California's youngest attorney. His PR work shares his many community achievements and desire to help others. Messaging is a powerful way of letting your audience know WHY they should work with you.

4. Positioning - To be the best in your industry, you NEED to be consistently visible. King has been featured on the news, magazine covers, and in many articles because of his philanthropy and generosity to the San Diego community. He is a guest at many events and has established his "proof of concept" by earning over 100 million dollars for his clients. Positioning is what will set you apart from your competitors and puts you right in the spotlight.

Take a minute and review these four concepts. How can YOU use them to grow your business?

How to Repurpose Your Book!!

You're an author. You worked diligently to get your book published. It made some sales, maybe even got you on the news. But then the inevitable slump occurred. The royalty checks got smaller and your book became a memory.

Time to start your next one...

Or is it?

Repurposing is a GENIUS technique to bring back the glory of your book. Here are three reasons why you should consider breathing life back into your literary treasure:

1. Additional income - A resurgence of your work can attract new fans, new sales, and can lead to secondary income like consulting work or upsells.

2. Media interviews - Once you create your repurposed book, you can start a BRAND new publicity tour as if you created a new book!

3. SEO - Your activity around your new book will affect your Google rankings and your search results if you properly position the repurposing.

So how do we take an existing book and repurpose for Round 2? Here are some techniques:

📘 - Position it to a new audience.

The book I'm holding above was my speed learning book, The Next Level Supercharged. I wrote it after I isolated 16 ways to do nearly any job or skill faster. When I first marketed it, I leveraged it towards entrepreneurs. But what if I took it and did a whole new campaign to educators, students, and administrators? I could have a WAVE of sales from people wanting the secrets of speed learning to get their degrees faster!

📘 - Additional content, chapters, and features.

Business coach and all around good guy Mike Michalowicz did this with several of his business books for additional sales. Its a great idea to take your existing work, upgrade it with new techniques and ideas and then return it to the market as an enhanced version. (PS if you havent picked up The Pumpkin Plan yet, its time you did so. I hold it in very high regard.)

📘 - Include it as a bundle.

This is a GREAT option. Take your book, add on consulting, a PDF, some exclusive videos and create a bundle pack that is a higher price point. The consumer gets FAR more info on the topic, you know have a higher priced model and everyone wins.

📘 - Start a speaking tour.

A LOT of people have the desire for this one, but have NO idea where to start. Think about your book topic or subject, then make a list of places that would have interest in hearing more. Pair the subject with the venue:

An inspirational book? - Rehab and faith based orgs or institutions

Military themed? - Veteran groups, VFW, American Legion, etc

Educational? - Colleges, teacher's groups, educational conferences

Next, pick up a copy of The No BS, No Fluff Guide to Getting Booked to Speak. Its THE BEST RESOURCE out there for getting gigs. Air Force Veteran Sean Douglas did a GREAT job on this one.

BUY IT HERE.

Because this is being written during Covid-19 and a lot of places arent in session, you can STILL create a virtual speaking tour from your living room!

You don't have to travel around your book tour, you can CREATE your book tour over Zoom!

How To Create Income During Active Duty

I'm Rob the Warrior Strategist, a full time entrepreneur and veteran out of San Diego. I havent had a boss in four years and have developed several income streams that enable me to have complete freedom of life and choice of action. I'm not rich, no Lambos or rented mansion. But I REALLY enjoy my life. Its awesome to go to the beach on a Thursday for a fish taco at 2pm.

I'm a 20 year serving veteran and teach a lot of strategies for vet business owners to increase sales, growth and visibility.

I wanted to create a mini guide so that I could share a few things I have learned to help active duty folks start earning income without MLMs, gurus, or any snake oil tactics. Here are a few ways I have earned thousands in sales that ANYONE can do without much effort. I'm not selling anything, just enjoy the content:

Technique: Ebook Creation

How to do it: Go on Canva.com, do the tutorials. Its free and easy to learn graphic design software. Take a poll on social media and ask what topics people want to learn about. Then create an Ebook in that topic, reach out an interview some experts for bonus content. Bonus Tip: E-Junkie is about 12 bucks a month and auto delivers your ebook when someone buys it. Saves you a LOT of time.

My experience: My first good business Ebook, The Profitable Entrepreneur was 10 pages long. I sold $1k in 7 days, no ads. My second one, The Veteran Entrepreneur sold $1k in ONE DAY. All I did was reach out to my FB friends and pay attention to who could use business techniques.

Technique: Membership Site

How to do it: Create a private FB group that is membership only. You need a centralized theme that brings people together and regular content. You can use Paypal to set up your "pay now" buttons. Create a basic one page sale page using Wix/Weebly/Wordpress (free) and have three price points. Eventually you will want to automate your content delivery. The best sites for this are either Buffer, Hootsuite or Edgar. How do you make your site interesting?

*Guest interviews
*Member of the week
*Promotions
*Article shares
*Original content and tactics

My experience: I created a private group on FB called Design Your Paycheck. I teach 15+ income streams like consulting calls, course design, ebooks, and more. I had several people sign up immediately and its a great source of monthly residuals. All I have to do is write a few posts a week and auto post the rest.

Technique: Media Platform

How to do it: Create a media platform and interview famous people. Its SURPRISINGLY easy if you are focused and create a fun platform. What are some options?
A podcast
A blog
A magazine
A Youtube channel
FB Lives
Paperback book

My experience: I started a digital magazine, SHIFT Life Design four years ago. I went 2 years with very little sales but got some GREAT interviews with NY best selling authors, Delta Force, SEAL Team 6, and 7 figure coaches. In the last two years, ad and feature sales bring in about 2-3k each issue.

I use Canva to create the articles, PDF Mergy (chrome app) to bind them, Joomag for the free magazine hosting. I only have to pay for a cover guy and sometimes my writers. We publish 4 times a year so the time is very manageable.

If I was active duty, I would honestly just do video interviews with celebs and influencers, then create a "best of" ebook at the end of the year for an additional stream. As you get listeners, sell advertising and website space/banners for sponsors. Once I started getting an audience, I started getting a LOT of people sending me free clothes, food, and products to review.

Hope this helps you guys, reach out if you have questions, I'm always happy to help.

Comedians - How to Earn Income With Coronavirus Shutting Down Clubs

What's up comedians? You probably have NO idea who I am.

Its ok. I promise this will be worth a read.

I grew up in a small logging town and had a really bad family. I failed out of high school and then college twice.

From 30-36, I gave up everything to get my Doctorate in Education.

Know what got me through?

YOU.

Opie and Anthony

Joe Derosa

Boner City with Andrew Dewitt

Patton Oswalt

Steve Simeone

Patrice O Neil (RIP)

Anytime I was stressed as shit, I would listen to you guys and Id realize things are going to be ok. I finished my program and became a business strategist and magazine owner in San Diego.

Cue Scarface joke
Now with Coronavirus, I know a lot of you are impacted. Clubs are closed. Gigs are gone.

But its not the end. In fact, you can turn this into "The Comedy Renaissance"

People need you more than ever. Here is how you are going to turn this into a HUGE win.

1. Leverage your assets - Most of you know some really famous people but are scared to ask them for help. Stop being scared. I started a magazine from nothing. Literally had 5 people MAYBE reading a month, yet I got to interview SEAL Team 6 members, Delta Force, NYT best selling authors, etc. Reach out, set up a video call and TAKE CHARGE. Stop being scared of the Joe Rogans and Howard Sterns of the world and GET A CALL with them.

Stop telling yourself "Oh they are rich and famous, they wouldn't want to talk with me" Bullshit.
We create our own destinies. Believe in yourself enough to create value for them. They will respond favorably.

What can you offer?

*Promotion
*Interviews
*Your audience
*Intros to other famous people in your network

2. Create an online event - Get 6 of your best comedian friends and use Zoom for an online comedy festival. Sell tickets with 3 pricing tiers (offer 1:1s for higher cost tickets) and make a cool graphic. If you guys got me the chance to talk to Joe Derosa or Steve Simeone, Id HAPPILY pay!

3. Release albums again. Remember Adam Sandler? ALL he did on his early albums were goofy skits with his friends and he had one of the top selling albums EVER. Use your creativity. Release some material, some monologues and skits. I promise you, if your stuff is good, your fans will buy.

4. Online roasts are STILL hot. If you are really good at roasting people, you can sell "roast my friend" for a set price. Some of you have a gift for this stuff. Use it.

5. Custom services - Johnny Brennan of the Jerky Boys is STILL selling calls for $150 and is making a killing. There is NO reason you cant do online pranks for sale or if you have good voicework being able to prank people for a fee.

6. Create a show on Youtube. Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn was one of the greatest comedy shows in history. You can get rotating comedy stars and start a subscription based show that talks about current events. Sell tshirts or shoutouts

There are a TON of opportunities for you all. Dont let this beat you. You guys are my inspiration and I LOVE that you get up everyday to make people laugh.

If you are a comedian and need help working on any of these ideas, reach out to me. I wont charge you. I want to see you win. - Rob the Warrior Strategist

Adapting Your Business to Coronavirus.....

The last few weeks have been wild.

Seeing people panic shopping. Events closing. Sports being cancelled.

I've been monitoring world events, governmental response and the intrinsic nature of human actions.

Here are a few things that are occurring and how you can act to adjust your business.

1. Massive events are going to be suspended or cancelled. Online events will surge. If you haven't upgraded your webcam and group broadcasting software, now is the time to do it. Graphic artists will see a resurgence in orders as event graphics will be in high demand.

2. The fitness industry will see a SEVERE drop in attendance at gyms but live online training will spike. Gyms will downsize and the wise owner will invest in video rooms where instructors can train global audiences live.

3. It is VITAL to create passive income streams to augment firings, economic downturn, and reduced staffing and employment. Digital courses, Ebooks, online events are a great way to keep the cash flowing through your company. (If you ever have any questions, I have a complete program teaching 12+ income streams The Destiny Project Link)

4. Teleworking will be an option used by many employers. Learning new on demand skills like coding, design, and chatbot creation will keep you in demand as a potential tele-employee.

Its a weird time. Headlines are intimidating. Don't let it get in your head. Keep being you, helping others, and things will improve over time.

Here is a GREAT Youtube video that can help you start your first online course.

4 AWESOME Entrepreneurial Lessons From the Waterboy....

Hey Warrior Strategist Fans!

I was jogging the other day and was reflecting on how many parallels this movie has with the entrepreneurial journey. If you haven't seen this in awhile, its time to revisit the last good movie Adam Sandler made (yeah, I said it).

Here are my takeaways:

1. People have innate abilities that will surprise you.

You would never know sometimes who is ROCKING a skillset whether its building chatbots, drawing, painting, singing or skateboarding. Don't EVER assume that people are talentless. I dont look like a typical self made entrepreneur. I don't wear suits. Take the time to talk to people and find out what they are good at. The answers might surprise you.

2. People want empathy and kindness

In the movie, all Bobby wanted was for people to be his friend and like him. Entrepreneurs are the same way. Many are made fun of, insecure, or just tired of being laughed at when they share their aspirations and dreams. Extending a sympathetic ear or just being nice to people is a great way to build a bond.

3. We all need a Coach Klein

Coach Klein was the first person that showed kindness to Bobby and saw his potential. He gave Bobby a sense of purpose and was a mentor to him. Think about the people in your network, who could use a guiding force? Reach out to them and help them develop their talents.

4. Your family doesn't need to always support you

I know a LOT of people that don't have supportive families/spouses. This is a rough one. Our entrepreneurial dreams are personal. They are our hopes and our desire for a better life. If your family constantly belittles you, just stop telling them about what you do. Its that simple. I tripled down on my efforts and now that I have been on the news, on stage, and have made tens of thousands of dollars doing business strategies, no one in my family can question me. Period. Believe in yourself.

Hope this gave you some good reflections on an amazing and goofy movie that actually has great tips. See you next time! - Rob

How to Fix Your Low Profit Business

I just realized its been FOUR MONTHS since I blogged. With the magazine, YT channel, weekly events and interviews, its been a busy time for me. (Not that I mind, having the freedom to do anything is GREAT).

I wanted to write a powerful article to kick off 2020 correctly. While this blog will primarily focus on Tier 3 and Tier 2 businesses (0-5k monthly and 5-10k monthly), a Tier 1 (10k and up) will benefit as well.

Here is how to tell if this post will benefit you.

1. Are you working too many hours?
2. Are you a BOB (barely above bills)?
3. Do you have NO idea how to increase sales
and grow your company without tripling your work hours?
4. Do you suffer from money fears and anxiety?

Congrats! You're a legitimate entrepreneur with perfectly normal concerns and problems. (We ALL experience this unless we are raging sociopaths).

If you are ready to be HONEST with yourself and fix your business, here is what you need to do.

 1. Do an assessment. You need to ascertain a few things
2. Build a team. On a piece of paper, write down 15 people that will share your stuff upon request, act as mentors or testers, and help with support in tough times. Remember to connect and reward them with recos, warm leads, media interview opportunities etc.
3. Create a social media plan. Your plan should promote others, show what you do, teach your industry, and ask questions that get powerful and VALUABLE responses
4. Develop income streams. This is a LOT easier than most people think. You can take nearly any skillset and turn it into:

*Ebooks
*Mini Courses
*Consulting Calls
*Online Live Trainings

Use Canva (LINK) to create Ebooks and PDFs for courses. Use Zoom (LINK) to host group trainings and consulting calls.

5. Grow an audience. Take the time to constantly add people to your social media. Respond to comments on your videos and CONNECT. Find out their pain points, help them when you can and take them up the "value ladder of friendship"

6. Be visible. Use several ways for people to see you. You have a TON of free media platforms to utilize:

1. FB feed and biz page and groups
2. Twitter
3. Email list
4. Youtube
5. Blogs
6. Linkedin
7. FB Live
8. Other people's FB groups
9. Boosted posts and FB ads
10. Instagram
11. Pinterest
12. Reddit

7. Be a Time Jedi. Dont respond to FB Messenger just because some stranger reaches out. Take your time with "I want you to meet my random friend who sort of does something similar and wants 2 hours of free advice that he wont follow" messages. Your work hours are YOUR WORK HOURS. Get things done. The ONLY people I respond to during work hours are paid clients and ELITE VIPs. Not even VIPs. Im talking reality TV stars, millionaires, etc. Stop letting the clowns time jack you.

Finally I have something AWESOME for you for taking the time to read this.
A digital summary of EVERYTHING I just wrote about above that you can keep in one fancy graphic.

Get it FREE here: Business Profits Guide

In summary, its ok to have struggles in business. Keep your head up, believe in what you do and MOST OF ALL, remember that someone is going to have a better life because you showed up today.

I believe in you and always will. - Rob
